I’ve been working since I was 8 years old—literally. My mom used to clean houses, and I’d go with her. I wasn’t just helping, I was learning. Being taught that if I wanted anything in this life, I’d have to work for it. And I did. I always have.

When I was 13, I wanted a phone. Not as a luxury, but just to feel a little more like everyone else. My mom told me, “If you want it, you have to work for it.” So I did. I saved birthday money, spare change, whatever I could—and eventually bought a prepaid Nokia from T-Mobile. By 16, I was paying my own phone bill. It’s not that I wasn’t supported, it’s just that love came with expectations, responsibility, and a quiet pressure to always be doing more.

Fast forward: I'm grown now, chasing dreams, building something out of nothing. But the truth? I’m tired. I’m burnt out. Like, deep-in-my-bones exhausted. I’ve worked corporate jobs, worked for myself, worked on things I love—and still, burnout finds me. That’s what people don’t tell you: even passion can drain you when you never stop moving.
