The Future of this Blog

me realizing in the back of my car that i have not really made a blog post about not coming back to writing blog posts

When I first started creating a website years ago, I was creating it to be an ePortfolio. Never in my life, I would have imagined that I would begin publishing blog posts on the regular. Don’t get me wrong, I love writing, but at the time that I launched it publishing posts is what I felt aligned with. But I must say, I don’t feel that way anymore. My priorities changed. My wants and needs have changed. And with the journey I have with my word this year, SHIFT, I told myself I would allow myself the space to change things whenever I see fit.

That’s why I haven’t had a blog post up in a few weeks, and I won’t be continuing to blog for the foreseeable future. My priority has now shifted to making videos. Thinking less, documenting more.

I will still be posting my videos here, and I will be posting what activity I choose to do for each upcoming month. But I cannot for the life of me put out content just for the sake of it.

Quality over quantity any day.

And I’ve been noticing that more and more people desire authenticity and quality over just people who are trying to keep a schedule.

Social media experts have been saying in the past few weeks, don’t niche down. Because putting yourself in a small little box with no intention and putting too much value on numbers, really leads to burnout and unhappiness quickly.

I love having a website. A place to call my own. But writing blog posts and taking the time to make them has been subtracting time away from things I actually have to do and make time for. Work-life balance is extremely important to me now more than ever, especially after my injury.

So that’s about it. If you haven’t subscribed to my YouTube channel, please do so! Follow me on Instagram also, I started posting a lot more there as well! I also post a lot to Pinterest, so you know the drill.

I don’t know when I’ll have another freebie out. Eventually, I will be launching my Etsy shop and my own planner line. A lot is shifting and changing, that’s totally okay. I first have to be real with myself for me to be able to be real with you guys. I have to love what I do first before I can make content and find my crowd. That’s my intention. I don’t know if it’s my purpose, but I don’t know many people who do know what their purpose is. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m meant to do in this lifetime.

Thanks for tuning in to my Ted Talk, I’m Diana~ Toodles.
