[VIDEO] Passion Planner Large Undated Flip Through

I'm back with another flip-through video of one of my previous planners, the Passion Planner Large Undated Monday Start Planner in the Paradise Blue color. Wow! That's a mouthful! If you are only discovering the Passion Planner now, you wouldn't know that once upon a time the Large size used to be called a Classic.

So when I bought this planner in June 2017 it was called the Paradise Blue Classic Undated Monday Start Passion Planner. Still, a mouthful, if you ask me!

If you've watched my bullet journal flip through you'd know that the method I came up with worked for me. I loved it, it was perfect, so you may be thinking, "What changed that you found yourself switching methods?" And the answer to that is, I knew I was going to use my Passion Planner from August 2017 to May 2018. In the Fall 2017 semester I took on a 300-hour internship, and I felt I needed more structure. I knew early on, I was going to have even less time than the semesters prior to the Fall 2017 semester.

Beyond that, I decided last minute I wanted to stay an extra semester and do my IST minor concurrently. It's not unheard of to take some classes concurrently, but taking as many as I did within one semester is special circumstances. A little more on how I was able to accomplish this in a future post.😅 Why IST (Information, Sciences, and Technology)? It's because I've had background knowledge on technology since forever, well maybe not forever, but I started to self-teach myself code: CSS, HTML, etc. at the age of 13. Sure that can be placed on a resume as is, but I really wanted the IST to back me up with my research, with proof, and just honestly, I did it for myself.

So naturally, when I found the Passion Planner I loved its set up, but I also loved their branding shown through Instagram. Furthermore, through Instagram and the Passion Planner group on Facebook, I was able to see that the Passion Planner could also be customized. I just had to move away from making my own weekly and monthly spreads, to prioritizing something that had more structure. Think of it as a way of letting go of the need to control everything. I remember during this time, I heard lots and lots of talks about "planner peace." It's a term to symbolize finding the perfect planner that fits all your needs, and to be honest with you I don't believe the perfect anything exists. I think it all comes down to how much control you're willing to let go of, to make something perfect for you with what you have.

It wasn't easy though, and you'll see that at the beginning of the video. I also mention that it was thanks to the help of Chelsea, from Chelsea Brown Designs, that I was able to turn my planner into something that fit my needs. Early on you'll be able to see the process of creating something new, something that works for me, customizing it. Creating more visuals for myself to become my "planner peace." And you'll remember it, vividly, I believe, if you've watched my bullet journal flip through

Another thing I went on to achieve with this planner was attaining a 3.5 GPA, or higher, by the time I was graduating. I kid you not, I graduated with a 3.51. Within 2 years and 1 extra semester, that's a fucking feat. I was EXHAUSTED, but it didn't end there.

Towards the end of my college career, before graduation, I planned and executed an entire trip to Japan for a month thanks to the help of this planner. And you'll see that, I'll go deeper into how and what I did, and travel tips in a future post, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without a planner. I didn't have any help. I tried to Google as much as possible, but just like I mentioned in my Skillshare post, people don't like to divulge their knowledge and secrets. It drives me mad! I'm not that type of person for others. Sure I want you to work hard for what you want in life, but a guessing game across the ocean ... I rather you have all the information you need.
